Zoriks will leave Saint Mary's and forgo his final two seasons of eligibility after agreeing to a contract Tuesday with Latvian club VEF Riga ahead of the 2020-21 season, Johnny Askounis of Eurohoops.net reports.
ANALYSIS
Perhaps due to concerns about the coronavirus pandemic might impact the 2020-21 NCAA season, Zoriks has elected to leave North America to begin his professional career in his native Latvia. The 22-year-old started in one game and appeared in 23 contests total during his sophomore season with the Gaels, averaging 3.7 points, 1.0 rebound, 0.7 assists and 0.7 triples in 11.9 minutes.
