Transferring to UNLV

Jenkins announced Saturday that he will transfer to UNLV, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
Jenkins entered the transfer portal shortly after wrapping up his sophomore campaign and will now follow former Jackrabbits coach T.J. Otzelberger to Las Vegas. Since he leaves South Dakota State without his degree, Jenkins will have to sit out the 2019-20 campaign before returning to action in 2020-21 with two years of eligibility remaining. Jenkins could immediately assume a key role in the Rebels' backcourt in 2020-21 after averaging 19.7 points, 3.5 three-pointers, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 33.1 minutes per game during his final season at South Dakota State.
