Cardwell is among many seniors to whom the NCAA gifted an extra year of collegiate eligibility because COVID-19 limited their freshman seasons. He was a reserve all but once for the 2023-24 Tigers. Cardwell impressed with his limited role for them though, having logged a 70.9 field goal percentage and averaged 1.6 blocks across 35 games. Now, the question is whether or not Johni Broome re-enrolls at Auburn. Should he not, Cardwell's statistical output is expected to increase.
