May 11, 2021
O'Garro committed to San Jose State on Monday, joining the program as a transfer from Oklahoma, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After reclassifying from the 2021 class and signing with Oklahoma during the 2020 cycle, O'Garro ended up taking a redshirt during his first season with the Sooners, as he played just four minutes in total across four appearances. After Sooners head coach Lon Kruger announced in late March that he would retire, O'Garro opted to place his name in the transfer portal about a month later. The 6-foot-5 wing appears to have found an ideal landing spot at San Jose State, where he should have a clearer path to playing time than would have been possible in Norman. O'Garro will be able to compete immediately for the Spartans while retaining four years of eligibility.
