2024 Tournament PreviewWith a narrow victory against regular-season champ Indiana State in the Missouri Valley tournament final, Drake is in the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four seasons. You can't talk about Drake without first discussing back-to-back MVC Player of the Year Tucker DeVries (21.8 ppg, 6.8 rpg), the 6-7 guard who has played more than 100 games and scored 1,800-plus career points. And then there's 6-10 senior Darnell Brodie (11.3 ppg, 7.9 rpg), a major reason Drake boats the best defensive rebounding rate in the country. The Bulldogs' strength is still offense, however, as the team is top 40 in offensive efficiency (per KenPom) and top-30 in effective field-goal percentage. Junior guard Atin Wright (13.9 ppg) is the leading 3-pointer shooter at 41.2 percent. Drake also gives up few turnovers, ranking 14th nationally. With four Quad 1 wins, the Bulldogs are capable of multiple upsets.
