Supplies 38 yards of total offense in Week 20 start
RBSaskatchewan
November 6, 2016
McKnight gained 16 yards on eight rushes, caught one pass for six yards and gained 16 yards on kickoff returns in Saturday's 41-18 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
McKnight surprisingly fizzled out in his starting opportunity, and the game script certainly didn't help his cause with respect to the running game. The 28-year-old was stuffed frequently when he did carry the ball and could only make minimal impact in the passing game and on special teams. The muted output was certainly a disappointment considering that McKnight had totaled 212 yards rushing on 30 carries over his previous two games. Despite the lackluster finish to the season, McKnight showed enough big-play ability in the preseason and in limited regular-season opportunity to provide reason for optimism with respect to his 2017 prospects.
