I watched Michigan State hold off an impressive Oregon squad in a battle of top-10 teams, and I couldn't even enjoy the Oregon Duck doing push-ups for every point that Oregon scored. I knew that the story of the weekend would be the lackluster performance of the mighty SEC. An easy narrative this early in the season. An easy narrative for the media. The reality is much more complicated.
Let's start at the very beginning. A very good place to start. It was a bad week for the SEC.
