Williams will transfer from Oklahoma to Texas A&M, the Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Oklahoma would probably have blocked the transfer to any other Big-12 teams, but with A&M headed to the SEC, the Sooners apparently didn't mind Williams heading to the Aggies. Williams was one of the top-ranked running back recruits of 2011 and, while he didn't receive much work as a true freshman, he still was a decent bet to earn a significant role as soon as 2012. Former walk-on Dominique Whaley is returning from a mid-season broken leg, while Roy Finch (just 5-foot-6, less than 170 pounds) and Brennan Clay (3.5 YPC in 2011) are far from infallible runners. Williams, meanwhile, ran for 219 yards on 46 carries (4.8 YPC), including an 11-carry, 80-yard game against Iowa State on Nov. 26.
