Armstrong entered the 2015 season primed to break out after a promising 2014 in which he threw for 2,695 yards and 22 scores while adding 705 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. However, running a new offense under a new coaching staff proved to be a challenge, as did overcoming the losses of Ameer Abdullah to the NFL and the dynamic De'Mornay Pierson-El to injury. With Armstrong, there’s always the bad with the good. The good can sometimes outweigh the bad, but at other times Armstrong’s lack of accuracy truly gets him in trouble and makes him turnover prone. Furthermore, coach Mike Riley’s system put a significant constraint on Armstrong’s rushing productivity as his rushing fell by roughly 20 yards per game. His interception total ballooned by four picks, ratcheting the count up to 16 on the year. The bottom line with Armstrong is he’s a boom-or-bust proposition, but his dual-threat skills and the strong wide receiver rotation at Nebraska gives him real fantasy utility much of the time.
