Juwan Thompson

Thompson suffered through a very marginal junior campaign, largely to no fault of his own. He averaged 4.7 yards per carry, a half yard better than in 2011. But he also saw 35 less carries, which resulted in just one touchdown compared to seven in 2011. Thompson lost most of his short-yardage carries to “QB” Brandon Connette in 2012, but thanks to some attrition under center, there’s reason to believe the Blue Devils won’t use Connette as much in 2013. Thompson isn’t worth a roster spot early in ACC circles, but is well worth monitoring to see if he can regain his goal-line role.
