Past Fantasy Outlooks
2012
2010
Fifth overall NFL draft pick Justin Blackmon is no longer around. On top of that, the Cowboys’ No. 2 receiver from 2011, Josh Cooper, has graduated. That leaves Moore as the leading returning receiver. Moore had 45 receptions last season for 672 yards as the team's third receiver last year, so he's a good threat to break out if he emerges as the team's top receiver in 2012. New quarterback Wes Lunt definitely will not be on Brandon Weeden's level, however, so Moore should start the year as a bench pick outside of Big 12-only leagues.
Oklahoma State looks to have four starting receivers this year, and Moore has the size to be a sort of tight end hybrid that the offense would otherwise lack. Funny enough, he might be the best deep threat on the offense despite being so big. As a freshman in 2009, Moore caught only 11 passes, but he took them for 183 yards and three touchdowns. There's major upside with Moore, but he's also pretty risky, like most Oklahoma State pass-catchers this year. Knowing how each one will fit into the new scheme of Dana Holgorsen is difficult to predict, and so past results are only so useful in projecting their stats. What's known, however, is that Moore might be the best athlete of the bunch. Also, it's doubtful that Holgorsen won't have a big role for Moore because Houston was one of the schools recruiting Moore coming out of high school.
