Garcia was set to have a more prominent role before the injury occurred. Throughout three seasons with the Demon Deacons, he has had what most would call a rough go of it. This ACL tear is the second in college for Garcia, the first of which forced him to redshirt his first year with the team. Since then, he hasn't been much of a factor, recording just three tackles in two seasons on the defensive side of the football, making almost no impact.
