Even with the departure of Alex Hornibrook to Florida State, Carter still had a lot of competition ahead of him at quarterback with Jack Coan, Danny Vanden Boom and Graham Mertz all ahead of him. As a result, he's changed positions, but likely still won't play much in what is a crowded tight end group for the Badgers.
