Second Cal QB to throw for 4,000 yards in a season
QBCalifornia
November 27, 2016
Davis completed 32-of-48 passes for 301 yards and a pair of touchdowns and carried once for minus-13 yards Saturday as California knocked off UCLA 36-10 at home in Berkeley.
ANALYSIS
Davis logged his best pass completion percentage in five showings, topped 300 yards passing for a third-straight showing and the fifth time in six appearances and avoided throwing a single interception for a second consecutive game in Saturday's contest. The one-and-done senior now awaits word on a possible post-season bowl appearance (Cal currently sports a 5-7 record) just the second Golden Bear quarterback in school history to eclipse 4,000 yards passing in a single season and having moved up to second all-time for total offense (4,185 yards). Webb too has 38 passing touchdowns on the year, which is second on Cal's single-season list and 10th on its career list.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2013
2014
Webb is expected to serve as Texas Tech's backup quarterback behind Michael Brewer, but a back injury has Brewer's Week 1 availability up in the air. If Webb has to start in Brewer's place against SMU on Aug. 30, he could run away with the starting role if he plays well enough.
Big QB production was guaranteed in the Kliff Kingsbury offense, but which QB would reap the reward was unknown this time last year. There's no mystery this season. After sharing the job with fellow true freshman Baker Mayfield in the regular season, Webb decisively pushed Mayfield out of the picture with a 403-yard, four-touchdown showing in the team's bowl game victory over Arizona State. Mayfield then transferred to Oklahoma, leaving Webb without competition. Even with true freshmen throwing nearly every pass last season, the Red Raiders averaged 392.8 yards and 2.7 passing touchdowns per game, so Webb should post huge numbers in 2014. The only concern is the loss of leading receiver TE Jace Amaro to the NFL, but Tech brings back a wealth of speedy playmakers and four-fifths of its starting offensive line.
