Out for regular season
November 4, 2019
Shyne has broken ribs and will miss the remainder of the regular season according to head coach Matt Wells, Don Williams of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports. Shyne could potentially return for a bowl game if Texas Tech reaches the required six wins.
ANALYSIS
Shyne suffered the injury in the win over Kansas back in Week 9 but was able to gut out the injury as he ran the ball 12 times for 53 yards in the game. For the time being, look for Ta'Zhwawn Henry to get a chance for increased carries as Shyne tries to get healthy for a potential bowl game.

Start vs. Sit: Who to Play, Who to Bench Week 7
October 9, 2019
John McKechnie analyzes key players to start, and those to sit, for Week 7, including Florida State running back Cam Akers.
2019 Fantasy Outlook
In two seasons at Utah, Shyne amassed 198 carries for 885 yards (4.47 YPC) and nine touchdowns. He projects as the second back on the depth chart behind Ta'Zhawn Henry who has proven to be a better pass-catcher. This may not matter as much with Texas Tech's new Head Coach, Matt Wells, favoring a more run-balanced offense than the Red Raiders are accustomed to. Shyne will look to hold off the young and talented freshman Sarodorick Thompson who projects as a better pass-catching running back.
