Moves to FCS ranks for final season
Weeks announced Feb. 2 via his personal Twitter account that he would transfer from UTEP to Stephen F. Austin.
ANALYSIS
Weeks will stick in Texas for his final season of college eligibility, this time moving from the west side of the state (El Paso) to the east (Nacogdoches). The tight end already earned his undergraduate degree at UTEP, but he would have been eligible to compete immediately anyway since Stephen F. Austin is an FCS school. His FBS pedigree should give Weeks the edge on a starting gig at tight end at his new school after he hauled in eight passes for 153 yards for the Miners in 2018.
