Looking for backup role
QBMissouri
August 4, 2018
Scott is listed as the co-backup along with Jack Lowary at the beginning of the fall camp, Alex Schiffer of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
The starting spot in Missouri's system has never been up for debate with Drew Lock returning for his senior season, but the sophomore Scott is in a battle with the junior Lowary to see who is his primary backup. Barring a disaster for the Tigers, whoever earns the advantage should only see mop up duty this season of offense but will have the head start in next fall's battle to replace Lock under center.
