Dru Brown
QuarterbackQB
Oklahoma State Cowboys
2018 Fantasy Outlook
No, he's not going to just pick up where Mason Rudolph left off, but Brown is the odds-on favorite to start for one of the best-designed offenses in the college landscape. Brown's numbers at Hawaii weren't eye-popping (2,758 yards, 18 TD, 8 INT) but it's worth noting he had next to no help on the roster. Taking over at Oklahoma State means an uptick in volume for Brown along with a major upgrade in supporting cast. With Justice Hill keeping opposing defenses honest in the run game, Brown will be frequently put in advantageous situations where he can thrive. Read Past Outlooks
Vying for 2019 starting gig
QBOklahoma State
February 19, 2019
Brown will return to Oklahoma State for his redshirt senior season in 2019 and compete for the starting quarterback job, Chris Hummer of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
When Brown announced last February that he would join Oklahoma State as a graduate transfer from Hawai'i with 22 games of starting experience, it was widely anticipated that he would succeed Mason Rudolph as the team's top signal-caller. Instead, it was Taylor Cornelius, an unheralded holdover, who claimed the starting gig and performed well enough throughout the 2018 season to maintain his spot on the depth chart. Brown played just one snap the entire season and took a redshirt as a result, but he'll now get his opportunity to claim the No. 1 job with Cornelius graduating. Dual-threat redshirt freshman Spencer Sanders looms as Brown's top competition during spring and fall camps.
