Spencer Brown is the UAB running game. That's been true since he was a freshman in 2017. Then there is new starting quarterback Tyler Johnston, who was second on the Blazers in rushing yards in 2018. That leaves Stanley, coming off his freshman year, as the ostensible backup running back, but also the third option in the running game. He did average 5.3 yards per carry last year, but there are only so many touches to go around, and Stanley is not going to threaten Brown.
