Moving on from Vandy
RBNo Current School
December 28, 2020
Wakefield entered the NCAA's transfer portal Monday and is set to leave Vanderbilt, Matt Zenitz of AL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Per 247Sports.com, Wakefield is listed as a graduate transfer in the portal, confirming he'll be able to compete immediately at his next school in 2021 as a sixth-year senior. Wakefield made two starts at running back for the Commodores in 2020 but saw his role decline in the second half of the schedule when sophomore Keyon Henry-Brooks emerged as Vanderbilt's top option out of the backfield. He'll end his time at Vanderbilt with 598 rushing yards, 82 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

September 7, 2018
John McKechnie scans the Week 2 main slate on DraftKings to find the best plays and values at each position. Arizona's Khalil Tate will be popular this week, but John is looking at the quarterback on the other side of the Arizona-Houston tilt.
2019 Fantasy Outlook
Wakefield will continue to back up Ke'Shawn Vaughn at running back for the Commodores, but he still should see an uptick in carries. That's because he shared the backup role last season with Khari Blasingame, who is now in the NFL. Wakefield averaged 4.5 yards per carry and scored twice on the ground in 2018. He didn't figure much into the passing game, but should see a few extra targets due to the additional opportunities as well. The Commodores are also working in a new quarterback, though, so the offense could struggle as a whole.
