Morgan Ellison

Ellison was a bit of a revelation in the backfield for the Hoosiers last season, averaging 4.92 yards per carry on 143 attempts to finish his freshman campaign with 704 yards and six touchdowns. Although Cole Gest should receive some reps as well in 2018, Ellison figures to receive the most touches -- assuming he's healthy after missing spring with a lower-leg injury -- and could have a chance at challenging the 1,000-yard mark with his entire offensive line from 2017 returning. It also wouldn't be a surprise to see his receptions rise from the nine he posted last season, though it's worth noting that four other IU backs recorded more catches than Ellison.
