Knee
September 2, 2019
Epstein will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury suffered on Saturday, Jeremy Werner of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This is the third straight season in which Epstein has suffered a season-ending injury. Epstein has been effective when on the field in his career, but has been just unable to stay healthy. Illinois is fairly deep at running back, but Reggie Corbin will get the biggest share of the carries most likely.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Epstein burst on to the scene with the Illini in 2017, taking the lead role in the backfield from the get-go and racking up 346 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 57 carries (6.1 YPC) in the first five games. Unfortunately, a foot injury ended his season in Week 5, and he remained sidelined during the spring, but the sophomore appears healthy heading into fall camp. Assuming he can handle the workhorse role in 2018, Epstein owns the most upside of any tailback in the Illini backfield. Any semblance of a passing game could also result in boosted numbers for Epstein during his second season in Champaign.
