Secondary role continues
October 26, 2019
Taylor had 11 yards rushing on four carries and added two receptions for two additional yards in Saturday's 38-14 loss to Arkansas State.
ANALYSIS
The senior running back hadn't appeared in the last two contests with an undisclosed injury and returned to what has developed into a backup role. There were thoughts that a tandem could be formed with teammate Caleb Twyford but Taylor's absence has allowed the later to run away with the job. Ineffective quarterback play all season has trickled down to every part of the offense as the team was only averaging 2.8 yards per carry heading into this contest. They'll try to straighten it out before next week's game at Louisiana-Lafayette.
