Drops to second on depth chart
RBTexas State
September 11, 2019
Taylor is slated to serve as Texas State's backup running back Saturday against SMU, Keff Ciardello of the Austin American-Statesman reports.
ANALYSIS
After logging only 19 yards and seven carries while starting in Texas State's 41-7 loss to Texas A&M in the season opener, Taylor surrendered the top backfield job to Caleb Twyford in the Week 2 loss to Wyoming. Twyford collected an efficient 60 yards on 10 carries, a performance that will earn him another start in Week 3. Taylor should remain part of the game plan as a change-of-pace option, but his fantasy outlook has dimmed now that he's no longer the top man on the depth chart.
