May move to DB for rest of season
WRMinnesota
November 14, 2018
Howard could see time as a defensive back the rest of the season, Randy Johnson of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Howard has two catches for five yards on the season and hasn't been targeted since Week 2. However, with the Gophers thin in the secondary, they've decided to test out the receiver as a defensive back. The move isn't unprecedented, as Howard played some defensive back in high school, though this would largely remove him from fantasy consideration for the rest of the season if the switch is made. Head coach P.J. Fleck said the move was only for the rest of this season, so there's a good chance he'll be back to the offensive side of the ball next year as he looks to garner a bigger role in the offense.
