Pushing for carries in 2018
Myers is pushing for a role in 2018 as a redshirt freshman, Adam Hunsucker of The News Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Derrick Gore is set as Louisiana-Monroe's top running back and quarterback Caleb Evans provides a running threat as well, but the Warhawks still need to replace a pair of running backs from a year ago. With that, Myers and fellow redshirt freshman Jakyle Holmes will be in the mix for carries this fall. Louisiana-Monroe's leading rusher in terms of volume outside of Gore and Evans saw only 49 carries, however, so even if Myers gets a role this year, it'd be on the lighter side in all likelihood.
