Johnson worked out at H-back in practice last week, Tim Buckley of The Lafayette Daily Advertiser reports.
ANALYSIS
Third-string tight end Alex Allen is out with an ACL injury, so the coaching staff may just be working Johnson out there to add depth to the position. He's been working at both positions since spring practice, so it's certainly nothing new for the former walk-on running back. In fact, it may give him a a better shot to see the field, as his low standing in the backfield pecking order currently leaves him with few opportunities for in-game carries.
