Secures waiver from NCAA
TERutgers
May 16, 2019
Alaimo received word from the NCAA that he'll be immediately eligible at Rutgers for the 2019 season following his transfer from UCLA, Todderick Hunt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
ANALYSIS
Alaimo should have four years of eligibility on tap beginning this fall after redshirting during his lone season at UCLA. A three-star prospect from the Class of 2018, Alaimo should contend for the top backup role at tight end behind Wisconsin graduate transfer Kyle Penniston, who is the favorite to serve as the team's starter.
