Personal
December 17, 2020
Stuard announced Thursday via his personal Twitter account that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Houston to prepare for the 2021 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
With the NCAA granting all players blanket waivers for the 2020 season, the senior linebacker would have had the option of returning to Houston for a fifth year in 2021. Rather than sticking around with the Cougars, however, Stuard will skip out on Houston's Dec. 24 New Mexico Bowl matchup with Hawaii and instead turn his focus to getting ready for the professional ranks. He wrapped up his final year at Houston with 61 tackles, a sack and a touchdown over seven outings.
