November 25, 2023
Williams had 17 carries for 103 yards and one catch for 12 yards Saturday against Kent State.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
As the team’s top returning rusher from last season, Williams figures to take over as the team’s primary, though not exclusive, running back heading into the 2022 campaign. Though Iowa’s running game was uncharacteristically poor in 2021 – averaging just 3.41 yards per rush –, Williams should stand to benefit from presumably improved overall offensive-line play. The sophomore is coming off a season-best 16 carries for 98 yards after starting running back Tyler Goodson opted out of Iowa’s Citrus Bowl matchup to end the 2021 season. Williams will likely compete for carries with fellow sophomore Leshon Williams, but Iowa’s commitment to the ground game should open plenty of rushing opportunities for both backs.
