Continuing career at SMU
Allen announced Jan. 15 via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to SMU, joining the program as a transfer from Michigan State.
ANALYSIS
Allen was one of three Spartans reserve tight ends to enter the transfer portal following the regular season, joining Trenton Gillison and Parks Gissinger. Though he didn't see the field as a true freshman in East Lansing, Allen is hoping the move back to his home state of Texas comes with an increase in playing time. He'll have a full four years of eligibility to use at SMU.
