Jaxon Shipley is a threat to emerge as Texas' top receiver at Davis' expense, but Davis should be penciled in as the leading Longhorn receiver for 2013 after earning the distinction in 2012. Davis hauled in 57 passes for 939 yards and seven touchdowns in 13 games last year, and the departure of wideout Marquise Goodwin should leave a few more targets up for Davis and Shipley in 2013. It also helps that quarterback David Ash has another year of experience after somewhat of a breakout campaign in 2012.

Davis is a talented young player for Texas who has a great chance to emerge as the team's top wideout this year. The problem is it's not clear whether it will mean much--Texas' 2010 offense was just atrocious, and it's not clear if they'll be able to fix it in one offseason. Still, Davis might have led the team in receptions last year if he had played a full season, so he's worth drafting in Big 12-only leagues at the least.
