Kelly announced April 24 via his personal Instagram account that he has committed to Louisville, joining the program as a graduate transfer from Virginia.

After previously committing to Virginia in January and then participating in spring practices with the Cavaliers, Kelly ultimately elected to re-enter the portal for a second time during the offseason. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound safety has now officially decided on the third and likely final stop of his collegiate career, choosing to play out his fifth year of eligibility at Louisville. Kelly started in all 12 of his appearances during his fourth and final season at North Carolina in 2022, recording 49 tackles and an interception.
