Butler announced Friday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to Virginia, joining the program as a transfer from Miami (Ohio).

As a redshirt junior in 2021, he was credited with 53 tackles, eight sacks and an interception. He'll have two years of eligibility to use at Virginia.
