Here are our rankings for the coming week at each position to help you decide your starting lineup. Our rankings are based on the following scoring system: three points for a passing touchdown; six points for a rushing/receiving touchdown; one point for every 20 passing yards; and one point for every 10 rushing/receiving yards. Flex Rankings are for PPR leagues. All the position rankings will be updated twice per week.

18.	Carson Palmer OAK vs. Cle Note: The Raiders are starting to discuss the possibility of using Terrelle Pryor, who previously has been inactive in every game this year. A change in the starting role probably won't happen yet and maybe not at all this season, but still, this bodes ill for Palmer. Limited in practice Thursday with a sore thumb. Palmer took all of the first-team reps Friday and is expected to start. Meanwhile, Pryor will be active for the first time all season, though he's at most expected to see 2-3 snaps. *

34.	Ben Roethlisberger PIT at Bal Note: Has expressed a desire to return this week, but for now the team will plan as if Batch will start. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, 'it doesn't look good' for Roethlisberger's return. Officially ruled out, as is Leftwich. *
35.	Michael Vick PHI at Dal Note: Still hasn't passed the final stage of the league's concussion protocol. It wouldn't be a surprise if he sat out again this week. Still hasn't passed the protocol, still not practicing. Officially out again this week. *

Running Backs

1.	Adrian Peterson MIN at GB Note: Suffered a shoulder strain against the Bears last week. Full participant in Wednesday's practice.*
2.	Trent Richardson CLE at Oak Note: I know his YPC weren't good against the Steelers, but if the Raiders' run defense last week was any indication, Richardson should go nuts this week.

8.	Ray Rice BAL vs. Pit Note: Everyone will remember Rice's 4th-and-29 conversion, nobody will remember that for the second time this season, earlier in the game the Ravens didn't have Rice in the game in a critical 4th-and-short yardage situation.

16.	Marcel Reece OAK vs. Cle Note: What happens to Reece when McFadden and/or Goodson return? He had a combined 103 yards against the Bengals. The Raiders said that Reece would work as a tailback in this game even with McFadden probably returning. For now we're still going to keep him above McFadden. Moved back up with the speculation from ESPN's Adam Schefter that McFadden won't play. *
17.	*Jonathan Dwyer PIT at Bal Note: 'You get a fumble.' Dwyer lost a fumble last week, but he's been named the starter for this week against the Ravens and will get the bulk of the carries.

27.	Beanie Wells ARZ at NYJ Note: Wells had two touchdowns as the primary back for the Cardinals, but also averaged just 2.8 yards per carry. He and Shonn Greene make a nice match for a running into the pile contest this week. Limited Wednesday with a sore knee. Officially listed as questionable, but expected to play. *

What sort of blown defense do you have where that can happen?
37.	Fred Jackson BUF vs. Jac Note: More snaps than Spiller last week, but far fewer carries. Chan Gailey suggested that arrangement would remain this week.
38.	Michael Bush CHI vs. Sea Note: Had two scores even before Forte got hurt last week. Now he'll probably be the starter against the Seahawks. Forte now officially listed as probable, sinking Bush's value. *

Practiced Wednesday and Thursday, though he was limited Thursday. But it sounds as if he'll play. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, McFadden is unlikely to play. This obviously isn't directly from the Raiders, but it's enough for me to downgrade him and put Reece back up. You'd better have some game-time flexibility to replace him if you want to try to play him. *
