This article is part of our NFL Waiver Wire series.
Week 4 will go down as the no-name touchdown week with several players emerging from the shadows of obscurity to find the end zone. Just because a player scored doesn't necessarily make him a target on the waiver wire. In fact, this week seems like a quiet week for the waiver wire with only a few players who should be significantly target. The Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins are on bye this week; outside of a few players on Detroit this shouldn't impact a lot of fantasy teams.
This column is geared toward "standard" 12-team leagues and based upon a $100 free-agent budget. Please, please adjust for your league based on both the number of teams (I'm in a 24-team league, for example) and budget.
Jacoby Brissett, IND - Brissett has scored 18.4 fantasy points in each of his first four games as the Colts starter and is poised to have another big week. Even without star T.Y. Hilton, Brissett threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns Sunday. He brings the capability of scrambling and has at least two touchdown passes in every game this season. He has a good matchup with the Chiefs as this should be a game where Brissett has to throw more playing from behind to keep pace with Kansas City. FAAB: $3-$6
Ronald Jones, TB - Jones has clearly emerged as the better running back for Tampa Bay and his fantasy prowess was on display
