We made it, folks! It's Week 1 of the NFL season, and we get to watch football with actual meaning. Depending on when you're reading this, however, not much has been played. WE don't care about details like that in dynasty. We have an entire preseason of new information, and thus we have our Week 1 Risers and Fallers.
Riser: Parker Washington WR, Jaguars
There should be no denying that the Jaguars love Washington.
Liam Coen runs his offense through the slot, which can give Washington WR1 upside even for fantasy purposes. I've already raised him ahead of Brian Thomas Jr. (arguably still too high on him) and ranked him in the same strong tier as Tee Higgins, Rome Odunze, and Luther Burden.
He's still very acquirable in dynasty while those are still skeptical, and the Jaguars face a gauntlet of defenses that could make the whole offense affordable up until Week 6.

Faller: Jonathon Brooks RB, Panthers
Another season, and we're already concerned about injuries.
Knee tightness aside, Chuba Hubbard isn't going anywhere and is already listed as

Faller: Jonathon Brooks RB, Panthers
Another season, and we're already concerned about injuries.
Knee tightness aside, Chuba Hubbard isn't going anywhere and is already listed as the RB1. Perhaps we got over our skis about Brooks? If folks were upset about TreVeyon Henderson being a backup running back, just wait until you realize that Brooks is in the same situation, only he's a worse player on a worse team.
I guarantee there will be plenty of managers buying into the sunk cost fallacy, myself included. But this is the time to extract the value spike when folks realize he's not going to be a high-upside RB1 in disguise. He's the ideal piece to tier up to something more substantial for the short term and long term.

Riser: Malachi Fields WR, Giants
Fields has been penciled in as the WR2 since he was drafted in the third round this year. He's the ideal complement to Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely as a big-bodied X who leaves the other two free for versatility. Moreover, I wouldn't be surprised if Nabers isn't quite 100 percent, and the Giants are forced to move the ball beyond their star player, which gives Fields value both early in the season and down the road.
Realistically, it might be a slower start for everyone, with the WR2 position being a committee until the entire offense gels and Fields has gained trust from the coaching staff. Hold fast and keep buying to stash for the future. Will he be a real fantasy mover? Who knows. The Giants have been bad from an organizational standpoint for a long time, but he could be a piece that gains enough value to help you trade for a real fantasy mover.

Faller: TreVeyon Henderson RB, Patriots
I'm eating a lot of Regretti Spaghetti for my preseason Henderson takes. He's already out for Week 1 and is firmly in a 50/50 split with Rhamondre Stevenson. It's not about the game-breaking speed or natural ability holding him back–it's about small details.
Henderson needs to improve on blitz pickups and choosing the correct holes on inside runs. Luckily, these are coachable things that will undoubtedly create a bigger dip in dynasty value that you should 100 percent capitalize on. He's a tough hold for those who need him to compete in 2026, but the upside is entirely too apparent to pass up.

Riser: Chris Bell WR, Miami
Bell is already slotted into a starting receiver role and has barely practiced with the team.
Bell oozed raw talent in college, but we could question if he's a real route runner who can translate that skill to the NFL. That being said, that risk really doesn't matter when he's essentially free. Jalen Tolbert is his biggest obstacle to immediate playing time. Read that name again.
I was among the biggest faders of the Miami offense, but I find myself buying into the great preseason vibes all around. Bell is a low-risk, high-reward asset that's incredibly affordable.

Faller: Cam Ward QB, Titans
It's time to have a serious conversation about Ward, and the Titans can't ban me from saying the tough thing out loud: Ward hasn't played well. His tape both in year one and the preseason shows the same concerns I had about him as a prospect:
Ward has raw arm talent but needs to be comfortable playing on time within a system. He got a significant boost in weapons and play-calling, but it's now make-or-break time; and it seems to be leaning closer to break. Evaluate your roster and decide if he's helping you win and consider moving on from him.
