Fantasy Football Rankings Week 1: Weekly Value Meter

Sunday Update Complete

Welcome to the Weekly Value Meter Rankings. This is a guide to help you decide who to start and sit in a given week. It's is not a season-long ranking nor a draft guide, and it's also not really intended as a free agent guide. While I appreciate that you want my opinion on pickups, every league is different, and your decision on whether to add/drop a particular player might also be dictated by other factors than who is rated higher in a given week.

Here are my operating assumptions for the rankings:

- The RB/WR/TE position rankings are for PPR leagues.
- The Flex rankings are for Standard leagues.
- 1 point per 10 rushing/receiving yards.
- 1 point per 20 passing yards.
- 4 points per passing touchdowns.

These are the rankings I use when I make my start/sit decisions. Please consult the rankings first before asking "Should I start Patrick Mahomes or Bryce Young?"

These are my particular rankings. If you want a second opinion elsewhere on the site, you can see our Weekly Projections.

Each week after Week 1, the first set of rankings will be posted late on Tuesday night. I will then do a set of updates before kickoff on Thursday, and again before kickoff on Sunday morning.

When setting your lineups, make sure to refer to the NFL inactives to ensure all of your players are set to receive snaps.

I welcome debate on the rankings in the comments.

Quarterbacks

1.*Lamar Jackson BAL at IND
Note: Really looking forward to seeing Lamar with a new offensive coordinator. Contract extension talks stalled out - they'll try again in 2027.
2.*Joe Burrow CIN vs. TB
Note: The Bengals worked on a lot of under-center formations with Burrow in training camp. Can he avoid getting off to his usual slow start against the Bucs?
3.Caleb Williams CHI at CAR
4.*Josh Allen BUF at HOU
Note: Allen had a miserable experience in Houston last season, getting sacked eight times.
5.Dak Prescott DAL at NYG
6.Matthew Stafford LA vs. SF
7.*Jalen Hurts PHI vs. WAS
Note: Hurts has 'embraced' the new offense under coordinator Sean Mannion, who is in his first season as a play-caller.
8.Drake Maye NE at SEA
9.Justin Herbert LAC vs. ARI
10.Jared Goff DET vs. NO
11.Trevor Lawrence JAC vs. CLE
12.*Baker Mayfield TB at CIN
Note: It's going be a contract year season for Mayfield, after he and the Bucs couldn't come to an agreement in contract extension talks. It's no longer a contract year, as Mayfield signed a three-year, $165 million extension on Tuesday.
13.Jayden Daniels WAS at PHI
14.Bo Nix DEN at KC
15.Brock Purdy SF at LAR
16.*Jaxson Dart NYG vs. DAL
Note: Will Malik Nabers be available for Dart in Week 1? ***We still don't know if Nabers will play. Nabers practiced fully all week, but was cryptic about whether he could play and is listed as questionable. The Giants play on Sunday night.***
17.Tyler Shough NO at DET
18.Jordan Love GB at MIN
19.*Kyler Murray MIN vs. GB
Note: Named the starter in the least surprising decision of a job battle maybe ... ever? J.J. McCarthy was closer to getting cut than to winning the job.
20.Malik Willis MIA at LV
21.*Patrick Mahomes KC vs. DEN
Note: Mahomes (knee) appears to be ready for the start of the season, but he opens with a really tough matchup against the Broncos. Mahomes fully practiced Thursday and appears ready to go Thursday night. He'll likely be wearing a protective brace on his knee. ***Mahomes was a full participant in all three practices this week and isn't on the injury list at all.***
22.*Jacoby Brissett ARZ at LAC
Note: Brissett ultimately got a contract adjustment after a brief training camp hold-in. Carson Beck made some noise in the Hall of Fame game, but it might be Gardner Minshew who's the first backup behind Brissett.
23.Bryce Young CAR vs. CHI
24.*C.J. Stroud HOU vs. BUF
Note: The Texans and Stroud tried to come to terms on a contract extension, but couldn't and will move on to next year.
25.*Daniel Jones IND vs. BAL
Note: The reports on Jones all throughout training camp were glowing, but will that translate to game action? Jones's mobility makes this offense go, and even before the Achilles' injury against Jacksonville, the Colts' offense had stagnated due to his first injury of the season.
26.*Kirk Cousins LV vs. MIA
Note: Cousins was named the Week 1 starter ahead of Fernando Mendoza, which was no surprise. The bigger question is how long will Cousins remain the starter?
27.*Aaron Rodgers PIT vs. ATL
Note: It appears that both Michael Pittman (hamstring) and DK Metcalf will be available for Week 1. Meanwhile, Rodgers will be facing a Falcons defense down their top two pass-rushers from last season.
28.*Cam Ward TEN vs. NYJ
Note: Ward had a very choppy preseason. The vibes aren't as good on him right now as they were during free agency and the draft, when the Titans improved his pass-catching corps by adding Wan'Dale Robinson and Carnell Tate.
29.Geno Smith NYJ at TEN
30.*Deshaun Watson CLE at JAX
Note: Watson was named the starter immediately after a desultory second preseason game and disastrous press conference afterwards. For what it's worth, Vegas oddsmakers favored Watson more in their lines than teammate Shedeur Sanders.
31.*Cooper Rush ATL at PIT
Note: Rush took all the first-team reps in practice Thursday after Tua Tagovailoa suffered an oblique strain at the start of practice. ***Rush suffered back spasms on Saturday but is still expected to start. Jack Strand will be the backup.***
32.*Drew Lock SEA vs. NE
Note: Lock threw for 187 yards and a touchdown in the Wednesday night win over the Patriots and is going to start next week against the Cardinals.
33.*Tua Tagovailoa ATL at PIT
Note: Tagovailoa will be the starter in Week 1. Michael Penix (knee) will be inactive, so Cooper Rush will be the backup. Tagovailoa suffered an oblique strain at the start of practice Thursday and missed the rest of it. He's considered day-to-day. Cooper Rush would start if Tua can't go. ***Tagovailoa has been ruled out. Cooper Rush will start, but he suffered back spasms Saturday. Jack Strand will be the backup.***
34.*Sam Darnold SEA vs. NE
Note: Darnold suffered a hip injury on the first drive Wednesday night. He'll likely miss next week, but the good news is that he avoided a fracture, and the team is couching it as 'dodging a bullet.' ***Darnold suffered a glute injury rather than a hip injury and is expected to be back in Week 3.***

Running Backs

1.Jahmyr Gibbs DET vs. NO
2.Bijan Robinson ATL at PIT
3.Jonathan Taylor IND vs. BAL
4.Omarion Hampton LAC vs. ARI
5.De'Von Achane MIA at LV
6.*Christian McCaffrey SF at LAR
Note: McCaffrey (undisclosed) sat out the media-availability portion of Monday's practice in Australia. It could be nothing, but his history in 2024 plus his workload last year is enough to make me at least a little concerned. McCaffrey was cleared from the injury report on Tuesday and is a full go for Thursday night.
7.Derrick Henry BAL at IND
8.James Cook BUF at HOU
9.Chase Brown CIN vs. TB
10.Saquon Barkley PHI vs. WAS
11.Kyren Williams LA vs. SF
12.*Ashton Jeanty LV vs. MIA
Note: Jeanty's ankle injury created a 24-hour window, maybe less, where we could get an extreme discount. But now he typically has gone back to being a second-round pick - perhaps not all the way back to his pre-injury peak, but also not that much of a haircut. Coach Klint Kubiak expressed optimism that Jeanty will be available this week. Jeanty (ankle) felt 'really good' about his ankle after Thursday's practice.
13.*Javonte Williams DAL at NYG
Note: So much for Jaydon Blue cutting into Williams's workload! The backups are now Malik Davis and Emari Demercado.
14.*D'Andre Swift CHI at CAR
Note: Swift gave everyone a scare Thursday when leaving with an abdomen cramp, but he returned to practice on Monday. Swift was not listed on Wednesday's initial injury report. ***Swift agreed to a three-year, $33.75 million contract extension.***
15.*Kenneth Walker KC vs. DEN
Note: Walker briefly managed an ankle injury in training camp but was back at full practice last week.
16.*Travis Etienne NO at DET
Note: Etienne is the only fully healthy running back right now for the Saints, now that Audric Estime (thigh) did not practice on Thursday.
17.*Rhamondre Stevenson NE at SEA
Note: Even if TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) plays Wednesday night, you have to figure that Stevenson will have a bigger-than-usual role.
18.*Breece Hall NYJ at TEN
Note: Hall suffered a groin injury in training camp but is expected to be ready for Week 1 against the Titans. Hall is not expected to be on a snap count limitation in the opener against the Titans.
19.David Montgomery HOU vs. BUF
20.*Bhayshul Tuten JAC vs. CLE
Note: Tuten missed practice time last week with an illness. Tuten did not appear on the Jaguars' initial injury report for this week.
21.Quinshon Judkins CLE at JAX
22.Cam Skattebo NYG vs. DAL
23.*Jadarian Price SEA vs. NE
Note: Teammate Zach Charbonnet (ACL) is on the PUP list for the first four games, at least, so Price has an opportunity to establish himself early on.
24.Jaylen Warren PIT vs. ATL
25.Bucky Irving TB at CIN
26.*Chuba Hubbard CAR vs. CHI
Note: Hubbard (hamstring) missed a good chunk of training camp, but returned to practice last week. He might be healthier than Jonathon Brooks now. Hubbard is off the injury report, and Brooks has been limited in practice so far.
27.*Jordan Mason MIN vs. GB
Note: Mason is listed as a co-starter along with Aaron Jones on the Vikings' depth chart.
28.Tony Pollard TEN vs. NYJ
29.*MarShawn Lloyd GB at MIN
Note: Lloyd is in line to start for the Packers with Josh Jacobs on the Commissioner's Exempt List. Jacobs will have his next hearing on Thursday. Packers' offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said that the Packers will use a committee of sorts this week between Lloyd, Chris Brooks and Kaleb Johnson.
30.*Blake Corum LA vs. SF
Note: Corum was being treated almost like a co-starter in the preseason, being held out of all three games along with Kyren Williams.
31.*Tyler Allgeier ARZ at LAC
Note: ***Allgeier's teammate Jeremiyah Love (ankle) will be a game-time decision.***
32.Kenny Gainwell TB at CIN
33.Rico Dowdle PIT vs. ATL
34.*J.K. Dobbins DEN at KC
Note: Dobbins was limited in training camp with a soft-tissue injury, but he's expected to be at full capacity for Week 1 on Monday night.
35.*Jonathon Brooks CAR vs. CHI
Note: Brooks (general soreness) was working on the side during Monday's practice after missing time last week. Brooks (groin) has been limited on Wednesday and Thursday, though in his favor he said that he expects to play. ***Brooks practiced Friday and was cleared from the injury report.***
36.*Mike Washington LV vs. MIA
Note: Washington could play a decent-sized role in the opener even with Ashton Jeanty (ankle) appearing ready to go.
37.*Rachaad White WAS at PHI
Note: White (hamstring) missed some practices in training camp, but he's not on the injury report this week, whereas Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin) has been limited.
38.*RJ Harvey DEN at KC
Note: Harvey might be limited to passing downs duty given the return of J.K. Dobbins and the emergence of rookie Jonah Coleman.
39.*Chris Rodriguez JAC vs. CLE
Note: Rodriguez potentially could play more this week if Bhayshul Tuten's illness lingers this week.
40.*Jeremiyah Love ARZ at LAC
Note: Coach Mike LaFleur is 'optimistic' that Love (high-ankle sprain) will be able to play Sunday against the Chargers. Love has been limited in practice both Wednesday and Thursday. ***Love was limited in all three practices, and will be a game-time decision for the 4:25p ET game.***
41.Aaron Jones MIN vs. GB
42.*Jonah Coleman DEN at KC
Note: Coleman has been a sensation in training camp and the preseason - now we'll wait and see how that translates in the regular season in a Sean Payton offense.
43.Tyjae Spears TEN vs. NYJ
44.Woody Marks HOU vs. BUF
45.*Jacory Croskey-Merritt WAS at PHI
Note: Croskey-Merritt (lower body) returned to practice last week. Croskey-Merritt (groin) was limited at Thursday's practice. ***Croskey-Merritt has been cleared from the injury list.***
46.Tank Bigsby PHI vs. WAS
47.*Kyle Monangai CHI at CAR
Note: Monangai hyperextended his knee on Aug. 16 and returned to practice Monday for the first time. I'd be surprised if he plays a meaningful role this week. Monangai has been cleared from the injury report.
48.Brian Robinson ATL at PIT
49.*Emmett Johnson KC vs. DEN
Note: Johnson won the backup job behind Kenneth Walker, beating out Emari Demercado.
50.Dylan Sampson CLE at JAX
51.*Keaton Mitchell LAC vs. ARI
Note: Mitchell (undisclosed) missed six consecutive practices before practicing on Monday. Mitchell (hamstring) has been limited in the first two practices of the week. ***Mitchell fully practiced Friday, and has been cleared from the injury report.***
52.Kaelon Black SF at LAR
53.Braelon Allen NYJ at TEN
54.Ray Davis BUF at HOU
55.Demond Claiborne MIN vs. GB
56.Nicholas Singleton TEN vs. NYJ
57.George Holani SEA vs. NE
58.Kimani Vidal LAC vs. ARI
59.*Jaylen Wright MIA at LV
Note: Wright is listed ahead of Ollie Gordon on the Dolphins' depth chart as the De'Von Achane's top backup.
60.*Emari Demercado DAL at NYG
Note: ***Demercado will be the primary backup behind Javonte Williams with Malik Davis (hip) now on IR.***
61.*Sione Vaki DET vs. NO
Note: Vaki and Jacob Saylors will split the backup duties behind Jahmyr Gibbs while Isiah Pacheco (back) is out.
62.*Najee Harris NYG vs. DAL
Note: Harris may have surpassed Tyrone Tracy (neck) as Cam Skatteboo's backup.
63.*Kaleb Johnson GB at MIN
Note: Johnson was traded to the Packers shortly before teammate Josh Jacobs was placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List.
64.*Kendre Miller NO at DET
Note: ***Miller could be Travis Etienne's backup if Alvin Kamara (knee) is unable to go. Audric Estime (thigh) was placed on IR.***
65.Jacob Saylors DET vs. NO
66.Roschon Johnson CHI at CAR
67.Seth McGowan IND vs. BAL
68.Israel Abanikanda DAL at NYG
69.*Alvin Kamara NO at DET
Note: Kamara (knee) might not be available for Week 1 against the Lions, and the same might be true for Kendre Miller. If either or both miss, Audric Estime would back up Travis Etienne. Kamara (knee) was limited again at Thursday's practice. ***Kamara is listed as questionable going into Sunday's game against the Lions. Nick Underhill of NewOrleansFootball.com reports that Kamara is not expected to play.***
70.*Sean Tucker TB at CIN
Note: Tucker (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Bengals. He did not practice Monday. Tucker (hamstring) upgraded to a limited practice Thursday. ***Listed as doubtful.***
71.*TreVeyon Henderson NE at SEA
Note: Henderson (ankle) sat out practices Sunday and Monday, but he did travel with the team to Seattle. He hurt his ankle on Aug. 24. Remember, the Pats play on Wednesday night. Corey Kiner is their third RB. Ruled out for Wednesday night.
72.*Malik Davis DAL at NYG
Note: ***Davis was placed on IR with a season-ending hip injury.***

Wide Receivers

1.*Ja'Marr Chase CIN vs. TB
Note: Chase hurt his knee on Aug. 25, and missed practices for the last week-and-a-half. He returned to practice on Monday after downplaying the injury during his time off. Chase began official practices this week on Wednesday as a full participant. ***Rested on Friday, but not on the injury list.***
2.Amon-Ra St. Brown DET vs. NO
3.Jaxon Smith-Njigba SEA vs. NE
4.*Puka Nacua LA vs. SF
Note: The Rams expect that Nacua (core) will be able to play on Thursday night against the Niners. He is also under investigation by the league for a potential violation of their personal conduct policy.
5.CeeDee Lamb DAL at NYG
6.Justin Jefferson MIN vs. GB
7.Drake London ATL at PIT
8.Chris Olave NO at DET
9.George Pickens DAL at NYG
10.Nico Collins HOU vs. BUF
11.*DeVonta Smith PHI vs. WAS
Note: Smith missed time early in training camp with a hamstring issue, but appears to be 100 percent now.
12.Jaylen Waddle DEN at KC
13.*Tee Higgins CIN vs. TB
Note: Higgins sat out practices last week with a bruised heel, but he was back on the field for Monday's practice. Higgins (heel) was a full go at practice Wednesday. ***Full practices all week.***
14.*Tetairoa McMillan CAR vs. CHI
Note: McMillan is expected to work out of the slot more often this year, after playing just 15 percent of his snaps there in his rookie season.
15.*Zay Flowers BAL at IND
Note: Flowers first got paid, and then missed time in practice during camp with a lower body injury. He returned to practice on Thursday. Flowers (hamstring) upgraded to a full practice Thursday after a limited practice Wednesday.
16.Ladd McConkey LAC vs. ARI
17.*Luther Burden CHI at CAR
Note: Burden missed some time in training camp with a groin injury. He returned to full practices last week. Burden is not on the injury report this week.
18.Terry McLaurin WAS at PHI
19.Davante Adams LA vs. SF
20.Jameson Williams DET vs. NO
21.*Emeka Egbuka TB at CIN
Note: Egbuka (toe) was limited to side work last week, but he was on the field running routes and participating in warmups on Monday. Egbuka was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Meanwhile, the Bengals' top corner, DJ Turner, is now managing a hamstring injury. ***Egbuka is a 'full go' for Sunday's game against the Bengals.***
22.Garrett Wilson NYJ at TEN
23.Christian Watson GB at MIN
24.*Mike Evans SF at LAR
Note: Evans (adductor) was in full uniform and participated in the Niners' Monday practice. He later averred that his various training camp injuries were all minor. Evans was cleared from the injury report on Tuesday.
25.*Parker Washington JAC vs. CLE
Note: ***Washington and the Jaguars were unable to come to terms on a contract extension.***
26.DJ Moore BUF at HOU
27.Chris Godwin TB at CIN
28.Rashee Rice KC vs. DEN
29.*Malik Nabers NYG vs. DAL
Note: Nabers (knee) has been noncommittal about his Week 1 availability, but the Giants just cut Darius Slayton, leaving them with just four wide receivers. That implies that Nabers will be able to play. Nabers remains cagey about his status for Week 1, refusing to commit to playing despite two full practices this week. ***Despite three full practices this week, Nabers is listed as questionable and it might come down to a game-time decision. The Giants activated another receiver from the practice squad, which might reveal the Giants' indications.***
30.Marvin Harrison ARZ at LAC
31.Jayden Reed GB at MIN
32.*Rome Odunze CHI at CAR
Note: Odunze left practice on Thursday last week with a leg injury and did not practice during the Bears' brief practice on Monday. Odunze has been limited the first two official days of practice this week. It's officially a calf injury. ***Odunze had three limited practices this week and is listed as questionable.***
33.*Michael Wilson ARZ at LAC
Note: Wilson signed a three-year, $75 million contract extension in training camp. Is that a statement of intent, following his breakout last year?
34.*DK Metcalf PIT vs. ATL
Note: Metcalf missed some time in camp with an undisclosed injury, but he was not on Wednesday's injury report.
35.*Josh Downs IND vs. BAL
Note: Downs missed some time in camp with a minor calf injury, but appears to be full go for Week 1. Downs (calf) was not on Wednesday's initial injury report for the Colts.
36.Jordan Addison MIN vs. GB
37.Quentin Johnston LAC vs. ARI
38.*Brian Thomas JAC vs. CLE
Note: Thomas injured his shoulder in a join practice with the Bucs two weeks ago, but he was a full participant in practices by last Tuesday.
39.*Michael Pittman PIT vs. ATL
Note: Pittman (hamstring) missed some time in camp, but was off the initial injury report.
40.Courtland Sutton DEN at KC
41.Matthew Golden GB at MIN
42.*Carnell Tate TEN vs. NYJ
Note: Tate had a rough preseason, capped off by sitting out practice on Tuesday last week with 'stiffness.' I still love the talent, but it might take awhile for him to cash in. Or ... he could be like other training camp slow starters and turn it up during the regular season. Tate is not on the injury report to begin the week.
43.*Alec Pierce IND vs. BAL
Note: Pierce (ankle) returned to practice last week after having offseason ankle surgery. Coach Shane Steichen said that Pierce should be good-to-go this week against the Ravens, but will he be on a limited snap count? Pierce has been listed as limited for both practices this week, though it's his heel that's been listed as the reason rather than an ankle. ***No injury designation for Sunday's game.***
44.*Wan'Dale Robinson TEN vs. NYJ
Note: Robinson (head) is not on the Titans' initial injury report.
45.*Jakobi Meyers JAC vs. CLE
Note: Meyers (hand) missed time due to an injury suffered two weeks ago, but was back practicing last Wednesday. Meyers (thumb) has been limited in practice so far this week. ***Meyers was limited all week in practice, but nonetheless was cleared to play on Friday.***
46.KC Concepcion CLE at JAX
47.Stefon Diggs WAS at PHI
48.Romeo Doubs NE at SEA
49.*Jalen Coker CAR vs. CHI
Note: Coker enters the season fully healthy after missing a good chunk of last year.
50.Rashid Shaheed SEA vs. NE
51.*Khalil Shakir BUF at HOU
Note: Shakir missed practice time in training camp with an undisclosed injury. The Bills are optimistic that he'll be available in full capacity for Week 1. Shakir is not on the injury report and is fully practicing.
52.Xavier Worthy KC vs. DEN
53.*Jalen McMillan TB at CIN
Note: McMillan (knee) was on the field, running routes at Monday's practice. McMillan was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. ***Downgraded to doubtful.***
54.Ryan Flournoy DAL at NYG
55.Denzel Boston CLE at JAX
56.*Tre Tucker LV vs. MIA
Note: Tucker gets a modest upgrade with the Brock Bowers injury news.
57.Deebo Samuel SF at LAR
58.Tre' Harris LAC vs. ARI
59.Jauan Jennings MIN vs. GB
60.*Jalen Nailor LV vs. MIA
Note: Nailor and Tre Tucker should get a modest increase in targets with Brock Bowers (knee) out.
61.Makai Lemon PHI vs. WAS
62.Pat Bryant DEN at KC
63.Caleb Douglas MIA at LV
64.*Adonai Mitchell NYJ at TEN
Note: Mitchell is starting ahead of rookie Omar Cooper as the Jets' No. 2 receiver opposite Garrett Wilson.
65.Ja'Kobi Lane BAL at IND
66.*Kayshon Boutte HOU vs. BUF
Note: Boutte has been building chemistry with C.J. Stroud following his trade to the Texans, which occurred in the wake of Jayden Higgins's season-ending ACL injury.
67.*Chris Bell MIA at LV
Note: Bell (knee) is still working his way into football shape. Bell estimated that his conditioning is back to 80-85 percent. He's not on the injury report, however, and is listed as one of three starting receivers on the depth chart.
68.Dontayvion Wicks PHI vs. WAS
69.Malik Washington MIA at LV
70.Devaughn Vele NO at DET
71.Malachi Fields NYG vs. DAL
72.Olamide Zaccheaus ATL at PIT
73.Darnell Mooney NYG vs. DAL
74.Ted Hurst TB at CIN
75.Keenan Allen IND vs. BAL
76.*Zachariah Branch ATL at PIT
Note: Branch (hamstring) has been limited in practice this week. ***Full session Friday, cleared from the injury report.***
77.*De'Zhaun Stribling SF at LAR
Note: Stribling (shoulder) has been cleared from the injury report. ***Suffered a non-contact ankle injury Thursday night. He did avoid an Achilles injury at least. Ian Rapoport suggests that Stribling will be out at least a month with a deltoid sprain of his left ankle.***
78.*A.J. Brown NE at SEA
Note: Brown suffered a high-ankle sprain in the loss to the Seahawks and is expected to miss four weeks. ***Officially placed on IR by the Pats.***

Tight Ends

1.Trey McBride ARZ at LAC
2.Colston Loveland CHI at CAR
3.*Tyler Warren IND vs. BAL
Note: Warren (groin) was not on the Colts' initial injury report on Wednesday after missing some time during training camp.
4.Harold Fannin CLE at JAX
5.*Sam LaPorta DET vs. NO
Note: LaPorta missed the final two preseason games with a hip injury, but returned to drills on Aug. 25. LaPorta (hip) was not on the initial injury report.
6.Kyle Pitts ATL at PIT
7.*Tucker Kraft GB at MIN
Note: Kraft (ACL) is in line to play in Week 1, but will he get a full set of snaps? Kraft was not listed at all on the Packers' initial injury report. ***Kraft signed a four-year, $75 million extension with incentives that could make his deal worth $92 million.***
8.Mark Andrews BAL at IND
9.*Isaiah Likely NYG vs. DAL
Note: My favorite tight end target in drafts where I waited on the position. I think that Likely could be the Giants' second pass-catcher and get more targets in the red zone now that he's out from Mark Andrews' shadow.
10.Travis Kelce KC vs. DEN
11.Dalton Schultz HOU vs. BUF
12.*Dallas Goedert PHI vs. WAS
Note: ***The Eagles moved one of Goedert's backups, rookie Eli Stowers, to injured reserve with a hamstring injury.***
13.*George Kittle SF at LAR
Note: Kittle (Achilles' tendon) seems increasingly likely to play Thursday night against the Rams - the question now is more based on how much of a workload will he see? Kittle's workload in practice was limited, but he also has been cleared from the injury report. I suspect that he will have limited snaps, which might mean fewer reps in the running game.
14.Juwan Johnson NO at DET
15.Dalton Kincaid BUF at HOU
16.*Michael Mayer LV vs. MIA
Note: Mayer will get more reps and presumably more targets now that Brock Bowers (knee) is out for at least a game or two. ***Mayer signed a three-year, $45 million contract extension.***
17.Jake Ferguson DAL at NYG
18.Chig Okonkwo WAS at PHI
19.Hunter Henry NE at SEA
20.Brenton Strange JAC vs. CLE
21.Gunnar Helm TEN vs. NYJ
22.Oronde Gadsden LAC vs. ARI
23.AJ Barner SEA vs. NE
24.T.J. Hockenson MIN vs. GB
25.Terrance Ferguson LA vs. SF
26.Pat Freiermuth PIT vs. ATL
27.Mike Gesicki CIN vs. TB
28.*Mason Taylor NYJ at TEN
Note: Rookie Kenyon Sadiq has the upside, but he has a lot of catch-up to do after missing a good chunk of cap recovering from a hernia procedure. Taylor will probably get more reps in Week 1.
29.Darnell Washington PIT vs. ATL
30.Cade Otton TB at CIN
31.Evan Engram DEN at KC
32.Greg Dulcich MIA at LV
33.Darren Waller CAR vs. CHI
34.*Kenyon Sadiq NYJ at TEN
Note: Sadiq is well behind due to a hernia surgery and subsequent recovery, but he'll probably see some snaps in Week 1. Sadiq was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
35.*Brock Bowers LV vs. MIA
Note: Bowers had a meniscus trim on his knee and will miss at least 1-2 games. Adam Schefter later clarified that the 1-2 week estimate came from Bowers' camp, and not from the Raiders.
36.*Jake Tonges SF at LAR
Note: ***Tonges suffered what appears to be a serious knee injury in the win over the Rams.***

Flex (RB/WR/TE)

1.Jahmyr Gibbs DET vs. NO
2.Bijan Robinson ATL at PIT
3.*Ja'Marr Chase CIN vs. TB
Note: Chase hurt his knee on Aug. 25, and missed practices for the last week-and-a-half. He returned to practice on Monday after downplaying the injury during his time off. Chase began official practices this week on Wednesday as a full participant. ***Rested on Friday, but not on the injury list.***
4.Amon-Ra St. Brown DET vs. NO
5.Jaxon Smith-Njigba SEA vs. NE
6.*Puka Nacua LA vs. SF

7.Jonathan Taylor IND vs. BAL
8.Omarion Hampton LAC vs. ARI
9.De'Von Achane MIA at LV
10.*Christian McCaffrey SF at LAR
Note: McCaffrey (undisclosed) sat out the media-availability portion of Monday's practice in Australia. It could be nothing, but his history in 2024 plus his workload last year is enough to make me at least a little concerned. McCaffrey was cleared from the injury report on Tuesday and is a full go for Thursday night.
11.CeeDee Lamb DAL at NYG
12.Justin Jefferson MIN vs. GB
13.Derrick Henry BAL at IND
14.James Cook BUF at HOU

21.Nico Collins HOU vs. BUF

Note: Smith missed time early in training camp with a hamstring issue, but appears to be 100 percent now.
24.Jaylen Waddle DEN at KC
25.*Javonte Williams DAL at NYG
Note: So much for Jaydon Blue cutting into Williams's workload! The backups are now Malik Davis and Emari Demercado.
26.*D'Andre Swift CHI at CAR
Note: Swift gave everyone a scare Thursday when leaving with an abdomen cramp, but he returned to practice on Monday. Swift was not listed on Wednesday's initial injury report. ***Swift agreed to a three-year, $33.75 million contract extension.***
27.*Ashton Jeanty LV vs.
28.Trey McBride ARZ at LAC
29.*Kenneth Walker KC vs. DEN
Note: Walker briefly managed an ankle injury in training camp but was back at full practice last week.

32.*Tetairoa McMillan CAR vs. CHI
Note: McMillan is expected to work out of the slot more often this year, after playing just 15 percent of his snaps there in his rookie season.
33.*Zay Flowers BAL at IND
Note: Flowers first got paid, and then missed time in practice during camp with a lower body injury. He returned to practice on Thursday. Flowers (hamstring) upgraded to a full practice Thursday after a limited practice Wednesday.
34.Ladd McConkey LAC vs. ARI
35.*Rhamondre Stevenson NE at SEA
Note: Even if TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) plays Wednesday night, you have to figure that Stevenson will have a bigger-than-usual role.
36.*Breece Hall NYJ at TEN
Note: Hall suffered a groin injury in training camp but is expected to be ready for Week 1 against the Titans. Hall is not expected to be on a snap count limitation in the opener against the Titans.

43.Davante Adams LA vs. SF
44.Jameson Williams DET vs. NO
45.*Emeka Egbuka TB at CIN
Note: Egbuka (toe) was limited to side work last week, but he was on the field running routes and participating in warmups on Monday. Egbuka was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Note: Warren (groin) was not on the Colts' initial injury report on Wednesday after missing some time during training camp.
50.Cam Skattebo NYG vs. DAL
51.*Jadarian Price SEA vs. NE

52.Jaylen Warren PIT vs. ATL
53.Bucky Irving TB at CIN
54.*Chuba Hubbard CAR vs. CHI
Note: Hubbard (hamstring) missed a good chunk of training camp, but returned to practice last week. He might be healthier than Jonathon Brooks now. Hubbard is off the injury report, and Brooks has been limited in practice so far.
55.*Rome Odunze CHI at CAR
Note: Odunze left practice on Thursday last week with a leg injury and did not practice during the Bears' brief practice on Monday. 61.*MarShawn Lloyd GB at MIN
62.*Malik Nabers NYG vs.
63.Marvin Harrison ARZ at LAC
64.*Mike Evans SF at LAR
Note: Evans (adductor) was in full uniform and participated in the Niners' Monday practice. He later averred that his various training camp injuries were all minor. Evans was cleared from the injury report on Tuesday.
65.Jayden Reed GB at MIN
66.*Michael Wilson ARZ at LAC
Note: Wilson signed a three-year, $75 million contract extension in training camp. Is that a statement of intent, following his breakout last year?
67.*DK Metcalf PIT vs. ATL
Note: Metcalf missed some time in camp with an undisclosed injury, but he was not on Wednesday's injury report.
68.*Josh Downs IND vs. BAL
Note: Downs missed some time in camp with a minor calf injury, but appears to be full go for Week 1. Downs (calf) was not on Wednesday's initial injury report for the Colts.
69.Harold Fannin CLE at JAX
70.*Sam LaPorta DET vs. NO

77.Jordan Addison MIN vs. GB

Note: Thomas injured his shoulder in a join practice with the Bucs two weeks ago, but he was a full participant in practices by last Tuesday.

81.Kyle Pitts ATL at PIT
82.Courtland Sutton DEN at KC
83.Matthew Golden GB at MIN
84.*Carnell Tate TEN vs.
85.*Alec Pierce IND vs.
86.*De'Zhaun Stribling SF at LAR
Note: Stribling (shoulder) has been cleared from the injury report. ***Suffered a non-contact ankle injury Thursday night. He did avoid an Achilles injury at least. Ian Rapoport suggests that Stribling will be out at least a month with a deltoid sprain of his left ankle.***
87.*Tucker Kraft GB at MIN
Note: Kraft (ACL) is in line to play in Week 1, but will he get a full set of snaps? Kraft was not listed at all on the Packers' initial injury report. ***Kraft signed a four-year, $75 million extension with incentives that could make his deal worth $92 million.***

90.*Chris Rodriguez JAC vs. CLE
Note: Rodriguez potentially could play more this week if Bhayshul Tuten's illness lingers this week.
91.*RJ Harvey DEN at KC
Note: Harvey might be limited to passing downs duty given the return of J.K. Dobbins and the emergence of rookie Jonah Coleman.
92.*Wan'Dale Robinson TEN vs. NYJ
Note: Robinson (head) is not on the Titans' initial injury report.
93.*Jakobi Meyers JAC vs. CLE

Note: Grupe is currently the starter, but the Jets have Jason Sanders on the practice squad, and just brought in Justin Tucker, Michael Badgley and Joshua Karty for tryouts this week. ***The Jets elevated Sanders, who will kick instead of Grupe this week.***

Defenses

1.Los Angeles Chargers vs. ARI
2.*Houston Texans vs. BUF
Note: The Texans sacked Josh Allen eight times in this matchup last season.
3.*Philadelphia Eagles vs. WAS
Note: The Eagles activated Greenard (pectoral) from the PUP list, but he'll be questionable for Week 1. Meanwhile Bud Clark is on IR, and Ty Okada has an injury, so there will be some vacancies in the Seahawks' secondary.
4.Jacksonville Jaguars vs. CLE
5.*Pittsburgh Steelers vs. ATL
Note: ***Joey Porter (back/contract) is trending towards not playing today, after being limited in practice all week and on the PUP list for most of camp.***
6.*Los Angeles Rams vs. SF
Note: It's uncertain whether Aaron Donald will be active for the Thursday night opener against the Niners. Aaron Donald will not play, but every other Rams defender is good to go. CB Jaylen Watson (toe) briefly popped up on the injury report, but he was a full go the following day.
7.*Denver Broncos at KC
Note: How much will the Broncos' pass rush suffer without Jonathon Cooper (suspension)?
8.*Baltimore Ravens at IND
Note: Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) has been limited in practice so far this week. His injury last September was devastating to the Ravens' pass rush.
9.*Minnesota Vikings vs. GB
Note: Harrison Smith is back for another year, having signed on Saturday.
10.*Seattle Seahawks vs. NE
Note: Nick Emmanwori (ankle) did the most work Monday than he has done this preseason, but it's uncertain whether he'll be ready for Wednesday night. Emmanwori has been ruled out, as has fellow safety Ty Okada (hamstring).
11.Buffalo Bills at HOU
12.*New England Patriots at SEA
Note: Christian Gonzalez agreed to a four-year, $135 million extension late on Monday.

Note: ***Chris Jones (calf) was very limited in Saturday's practice session but is expected to play Monday night.***
14.Detroit Lions vs. NO
15.*Green Bay Packers at MIN
Note: Devonte Wyatt (ankle) has been limited in practice. His absence towards the end of the season last year was felt significantly by the Packers.
16.Dallas Cowboys at NYG
17.*New York Giants vs. DAL
Note: I'm struggling with the Giants - they should still have a great pass rush, and the Cowboys just lost LG Tyler Smith to a thumb injury. But I also think they won't be able to stop the run without Dexter Lawrence in the middle.
18.Chicago Bears at CAR
19.Cleveland Browns at JAX
20.*Cincinnati Bengals vs. TB
Note: DJ Turner (hamstring) was limited on Thursday.
21.Las Vegas Raiders vs. MIA
22.Tennessee Titans vs. NYJ
23.Indianapolis Colts vs. BAL
24.New York Jets at TEN
25.*San Francisco 49ers at LAR

Bosa will play and was cleared from the injury list. Dre Greenlaw (Achilles) was also cleared from the injury list. But the Niners lost DT Alfred Collins to a torn patellar tendon suffered in practice - Collins is out for the season.
