Sunday Update Complete

Welcome to the Weekly Value Meter Rankings. This is a guide to help you decide who to start and sit in a given week. It's is not a season-long ranking nor a draft guide, and it's also not really intended as a free agent guide. While I appreciate that you want my opinion on pickups, every league is different, and your decision on whether to add/drop a particular player might also be dictated by other factors than who is rated higher in a given week.

Here are my operating assumptions for the rankings:

- The RB/WR/TE position rankings are for PPR leagues.
- The Flex rankings are for Standard leagues.
- 1 point per 10 rushing/receiving yards.
- 1 point per 20 passing yards.
- 4 points per passing touchdowns.

These are the rankings I use when I make my start/sit decisions. Please consult the rankings first before asking "Should I start Patrick Mahomes or Bryce Young?"

These are my particular rankings. If you want a second opinion elsewhere on the site, you can see our Weekly Projections.

Each week after Week 1, the first set of rankings will be posted overnight on Tuesday night. I will then do a set of updates before kickoff on Thursday, and again before kickoff on Sunday morning.

When setting your lineups, make sure to refer to the NFL inactives to ensure all of your players are set to receive snaps.

I welcome debate on the rankings in the comments.

Quarterbacks

1.*Josh Allen BUF vs. NE
Note: Allen took a hit to the knee area in the fourth quarter. Afterwards, coach Joe Brady downplayed the possibility of an injury. Allen was not listed on the Wednesday injury report.
2.*Lamar Jackson BAL vs. TEN
Note: Jackson (back) missed the beginning of Wednesday's practice, but fully practiced Thursday.
3.*Brock Purdy SF vs. DEN
Note: Purdy's incredible day against the Cardinals could have been even better, as he had a 45-yard touchdown run nullified by a penalty downfield.
4.Patrick Mahomes KC at LV
5.Trevor Lawrence JAC at CIN
6.Jared Goff DET at CAR
7.Dak Prescott DAL at HOU
8.Matthew Stafford LA at PHI
9.Joe Burrow CIN vs. JAX
10.*Tyler Shough NO vs. ATL
Note: Shough is up to six turnovers on the season, after losing the ball thrice (one INT, two fumbles) in the loss to the Raiders.
11.*Bo Nix DEN at SF
Note: For the second week in a row, Nix had a big second half after a terrible first half. The Broncos are running back the 2025 season!
12.Jordan Love GB at TB
13.*Drake Maye NE at BUF
Note: Maye's season keeps getting worse. Will he bounce back against his first semi-lesser defense since the playoffs last year? Maye is listed on the injury report with a shoulder issue, but fully practiced. ***Full participant in Friday's practice and is off the injury list.***
14.*Sam Darnold SEA vs. LAC
Note: Darnold's huge fantasy day was tainted by two interceptions, including a pick-six that provided the winning margin for the Commanders.
15.Michael Penix ATL at NO
16.Jacoby Brissett ARZ at NYG
17.*Jalen Hurts PHI vs. LAR
Note: Hurts had a rushing touchdown before the half, somewhat salvaging an otherwise very underwhelming game against the Bears. The lost goal line sequence when he was getting evaluated for a concussion certainly didn't help. Now it looks like he won't have Devonta Smith (hamstring) this week. ***RT Lane Johnson in inactive due to personal reasons, meaning that the Eagles will have their third-string tackle starting in front of Hurts.***
18.*C.J. Stroud HOU vs. DAL
Note: If Stroud gets Nico Collins (hamstring) back this week, he can probably take advantage of a pretty sweet matchup against the Cowboys.
19.Kyler Murray MIN vs. MIA
20.*Kirk Cousins LV vs. KC
Note: With the 3-0 start, the Raiders could be staying with Cousins over Fernando Mendoza for a while.
21.*Bryce Young CAR vs. DET
Note: Young (knee) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday. He is missing two OL, and might be missing Jalen Coker.
22.*Geno Smith NYJ at CHI
Note: Smith piled on 321 passing yards for three touchdowns in the loss to the Lions. He serves as a reminder that you need to stream against the Lions.
23.*Justin Herbert LAC at SEA
Note: As if it couldn't get worse for Herbert, Ladd McConkey (foot) did not practice Thursday.
24.Malik Willis MIA at MIN
25.*Marcus Mariota WAS vs. IND
Note: ***Mariota will get another start Sunday in London.***
26.*Tyson Bagent CHI vs. NYJ
Note: ***Bagent took most of the first-team reps in practice this week and will start against the Jets.***
27.Daniel Jones IND at WAS
28.Aaron Rodgers PIT at CLE
29.Cam Ward TEN at BAL
30.*Jameis Winston NYG vs. ARI
Note: Winston will retain the starting job, but he was pretty underwhelming in the win over the Titans. J.J. McCarthy was added to the roster for a fifth round pick this week.
31.*Deshaun Watson CLE vs. PIT
Note: Watson was able to make plays with his legs, running for 45 yards in the win over the Panthers. He'll find the sledding tougher against the Steelers, more so because his center Elgton Jenkins (concussion) is unlikely to play Thursday against the Steelers.
32.*Jalon Daniels TB vs. GB
Note: Daniels, an undrafted rookie out of Kansas, will be the starter while Baker Mayfield is out. The Bucs don't have another back on the active roster, but Easton Stick and Brett Rypien are on the practice squad.
33.*Case Keenum CHI vs. NYJ
Note: Keenum performed brilliantly on Monday night, and Ben Johnson's play-calling was a tour-de-force. Will he or Tyson Bagent start this week against the Jets? ***Keenum will be the backup this week behind Tyson Bagent.***
34.*Caleb Williams CHI vs. NYJ
Note: Williams (hamstring) hasn't started practicing yet. ***Ruled out again this week.***
35.*Jayden Daniels WAS vs. IND
Note: Daniels (elbow) will need surgery after the season. But he'll also travel with the team to London this week and practice in some capacity. Daniels has participated in two limited practices so far this week. ***Daniels has been ruled out for another week.***
36.*Baker Mayfield TB vs. GB
Note: Mayfield (thumb) will be out for a minimum of three weeks. The good news was that there was no ligament damage. ***Mayfield's absence could last anywhere from 3-to-6 weeks.***

Running Backs

1.Jahmyr Gibbs DET at CAR
2.Bijan Robinson ATL at NO
3.*Derrick Henry BAL vs. TEN
Note: Henry had an excellent fantasy day, but it's a little troubling that he was twice stuffed on fourth down, once at the goal line. The Ravens' interior OL is struggling, especially at center.
4.Christian McCaffrey SF vs. DEN
5.Kenneth Walker KC at LV
6.*James Cook BUF vs. NE
Note: Cook overcame losing an early fumble to run for 154 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Chargers.
7.Jonathan Taylor IND at WAS
8.Ashton Jeanty LV vs. KC
9.*D'Andre Swift CHI vs. NYJ
Note: Swift (knee) sat out practice Thursday after not being listed on the injury report on Wednesday. ***Swift fully practiced Friday and was cleared from the injury report.***
10.*Jeremiyah Love ARZ at NYG
Note: Love took over the workload for the Cardinals on Sunday, with 21 carries and five receptions.
11.Javonte Williams DAL at HOU
12.Kyren Williams LA at PHI
13.*Bhayshul Tuten JAC at CIN
Note: Trevor Lawrence to Tuten - 'When you speak of me, speak well...'
14.*Jaylen Warren PIT at CLE
Note: Warren dominated against the Bengals, rushing for 127 yards and catching three passes for 49 yards. Rico Dowdle has been ruled out again.
15.*Saquon Barkley PHI vs. LAR
Note: ***Barkley won't have star RT Lane Johnson (personal reasons) Sunday, meaning that the Eagles will be starting a third-string RT.***
16.Omarion Hampton LAC at SEA
17.Chase Brown CIN vs. JAX
18.Cam Skattebo NYG vs. ARI
19.Chuba Hubbard CAR vs. DET
20.*Bucky Irving TB vs. GB
Note: Irving missed the final two series in the Bucs' loss to the Vikings, but coach Todd Bowles afterwards said that Irving will not be on the injury report this week. Irving (glute) has been limited in practice for the first two days this week. So much for not being on the injury report. ***Irving fully practiced Friday and was cleared from the injury report.***
21.Quinshon Judkins CLE vs. PIT
22.*David Montgomery HOU vs. DAL
Note: Montgomery struggled again against the Colts, and this time ceded a goal line carry to Woody Marks, who converted the touchdown.
23.J.K. Dobbins DEN at SF
24.Aaron Jones MIN vs. MIA
25.*Braelon Allen NYJ at CHI
Note: Allen is in line for a starting role while Breece Hall (hip) is out. Hall is week-to-week.
26.*Jacory Croskey-Merritt WAS vs. IND
Note: Croskey-Merritt had just 36 yards on 19 carries, though it's worth noting that a long touchdown run was overturned by a penalty. Teammate Rachaad White (shoulder) has missed the first two practices of the week. ***White has been ruled out, which could increase Croskey-Merritt's workload, though perhaps either Kaytron Allen or Austin Ekeler will be the pass-catching back.***
27.TreVeyon Henderson NE at BUF
28.*Tony Pollard TEN at BAL
Note: Pollard (foot) sat out Wednesday's practice but fully practiced Thursday.
29.*Emanuel Wilson SEA vs. LAC
Note: Wilson could get a spike in playing time with Jadarian Price (chest) sitting out practice Thursday, and George Holani (ribs) limited. ***Holani was cleared from the injury, so he and Wilson will share the backfield workload with Jadarian Price (chest) on IR.***
30.*Rhamondre Stevenson NE at BUF
Note: We're back to Stevenson getting more snaps than Henderson, with limited returns for both.
31.*Blake Corum LA at PHI
Note: Teammate Kyren Williams dominated the workload on Sunday night, and justifiably as he was rolling.
32.*Alvin Kamara NO vs. ATL
Note: Kamara was the primary backup to Travis Etienne prior to Etienne's injury, but split the carries 6-to-5 with Kendre Miller after the injury. Etienne is out at least four weeks.
33.Kyle Monangai CHI vs. NYJ
34.*Kenny Gainwell TB vs. GB
Note: Teammate Bucky Irving has been limited in practice for the first two practices this week.
35.*Ollie Gordon MIA at MIN
Note: Gordon is the only fully healthy running back on the Dolphins' active roster, with De'Von Achane on IR with a torn ACL and Jaylen Wright (foot, stinger) day-to-day. Jarquez Hunter and Carlos Washington Jr. are on the practice squad.
36.*RJ Harvey DEN at SF
Note: Harvey was briefly evaluated for a concussion on Sunday night but later returned.
37.Brian Robinson ATL at NO
38.Emmett Johnson KC at LV
39.*Jaylen Wright MIA at MIN
Note: Wright remains day-to-day with a stinger and a foot injury after missing Week 3's loss to the Chiefs. Wright was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
40.*Kendre Miller NO vs. ATL
Note: Miller is back under consideration with Travis Etienne (hamstring) out at least four weeks.
41.*Tyler Allgeier ARZ at NYG
Note: Allgeier took a back seat to Jeremiyah Love, carrying the ball twice while catching four passes.
42.*Mike Washington LV vs. KC
Note: Washington played only 11 snaps, but one of those was a 36-yard touchdown scamper.
43.Woody Marks HOU vs. DAL
44.*George Holani SEA vs. LAC
Note: Holani (ribs) has been limited in the first two practices of the week. ***Holani has been cleared to play and will share the duties with Emanuel Wilson, with Jadarian Price (chest) placed on IR.***
45.Kaelon Black SF vs. DEN
46.Kaleb Johnson GB at TB
47.*Tank Bigsby PHI vs. LAR
Note: Bigsby lost a fumble early on in the loss to the Bears and seemingly was buried after that.
48.*Keaton Mitchell LAC at SEA
Note: Mitchell (ankle) was limited in Thursday's practice. ***Mitchell fully practiced Friday and was cleared from the injury report.***
49.MarShawn Lloyd GB at TB
50.Justice Hill BAL vs. TEN
51.Chris Rodriguez JAC at CIN
52.*Tyjae Spears TEN at BAL
Note: Spears (ankle) was limited to just three touches in Sunday's loss to the Giants. Spears (ankle) sat out Wednesday and was limited Thursday. ***Spears fully practiced Friday and has been cleared from the injury report.***
53.Samaje Perine CIN vs. JAX
54.*Isaiah Davis NYJ at CHI
Note: Davis has been limited to special teams duty, but he might move up a chair while Breece Hall (hip) is out.
55.Sione Vaki DET at CAR
56.Chris Brooks GB at TB
57.Nicholas Singleton TEN at BAL
58.*Ray Davis BUF vs. NE
Note: ***Davis (hamstring) is listed as questionable.***

68.Seth McGowan IND at WAS
69.Roschon Johnson CHI vs. NYJ
70.*Rachaad White WAS vs. IND
Note: White briefly left to get his shoulder checked out but later returned. White (shoulder) has missed the first two practices this week. ***White missed practice all week and has been ruled out.***
71.*Breece Hall NYJ at CHI
Note: Hall (thigh) is week-to-week, and an MRI revealed that the injury wasn't as serious as initially feared. Hall's injury is being classified as a quad injury. He is not practicing this week. ***Officially ruled out for this week.***
72.*Rico Dowdle PIT at CLE
Note: Dowdle (toe) sat out the win over the Bengals and while present at Tuesday's practice, he did not participate. Ruled out again this week.
73.*Zach Charbonnet SEA vs. LAC
Note: The Seahawks opened Charbonnet's (knee) practice window Thursday. They have 21 days before they have to activate him, but can do so as early as next week.
74.*Jadarian Price SEA vs. LAC
Note: Price lost a fumble for the second week in a row and was sparsely used afterwards. Price (chest) was limited Wednesday, but then didn't practice at all Thursday. ***Price was placed on IR due to his chest injury. When he ultimately returns, chances are he'll also have to compete with Zach Charbonnet for playing time.***
75.*Travis Etienne NO vs. ATL

7.CeeDee Lamb DAL at HOU

9.*Puka Nacua LA at PHI
Note: The Rams are 'hopeful' that Nacua (hip/groin) can return in Week 4. I'll move him up once he practices. Puka was a limited participant Wednesday but was expected to fully practice Thursday. ***Nacua isn't expected to have any limitations on his workload upon his return.***
10.*Zay Flowers BAL vs. TEN
Note: Flowers played only 21 snaps, but that was good enough to log five catches for 84 yards. He's expected to have a full workload in Week 4. Flowers was limited Wednesday but fully practiced Thursday. ***Flowers was limited again on Friday and is listed as questionable, though his limitations on Friday were characterized as precautionary.***
11.Garrett Wilson NYJ at CHI

14.George Pickens DAL at HOU
15.*Rashee Rice KC at LV
Note: Rice caught seven of his nine targets for 88 yards in the win over Miami.
16.*Nico Collins HOU vs. DAL
Note: The Texans are hopeful that Collins (ankle) can return for Week 4. It's pretty much do-or-die for the Texans against the Cowboys, who are also desperate. Collins has had two limited practices so far. I'm going to rank him under the assumption that he's playing. ***Collins has officially been cleared to play.***

29.Emeka Egbuka TB vs. GB
30.Denzel Boston CLE vs. PIT
31.*Jakobi Meyers JAC at CIN

41.Devaughn Vele NO vs. ATL

87.*Terry McLaurin WAS vs. IND

Note: Trevor Lawrence to Tuten - 'When you speak of me, speak well...'
