Chad Clifton

Clifton will start at left tackle for the Packers.

Clifton will again be the Packers' starting left tackle in 2009, a position he has occupied since being drafted in 2000. After suffering through several nagging injuries last year and undergoing four separate offseason surgeries, there is some uncertainty as to how the 33-year-old will perform in 2009.

Since the blind-side shot by Warren Sapp in 2002 nearly ended Clifton's career with a severe pelvic injury, the eight-year veteran has started 63 of the last 64 games for the Packers. Clifton embraced the new zone-blocking scheme introduced to the O-line in 2006, and has proven to be one of the best cut-block specialists in the NFL.
