Balmer was not at training camp on Wednesday and Thursday, the Washington Post reports.

ANALYSIS
Balmer's absence was unexcused and apparently the Redskins have not heard from him. Balmer pulled a similar stunt with the 49ers in 2010 and was immediately traded. At this point he has zero trade value, and will probably just be released unless he has a satisfactory explanation. Even if Balmer hangs on after this incident, he's a long shot to contribute anything significant to an NFL team in 2012 and beyond.
