June 19, 2013
Walton underwent ankle surgery Monday and is in danger of missing the entire 2013 season, the Denver Post reports.
ANALYSIS
A third-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, Walton was relatively durable before breaking his ankle in Week 4 last season. He was previously expected to be ready for the 2013 campaign, but after this recent complication it looks like a return during the second half of the season represents a best-case scenario for the Broncos' projected starting center. While this obviously isn't ideal for the team, it also isn't all that big of a deal given the amount of offensive talent on the roster.
