Josh Boyce

Boyce signed on with the Colts in the offseason after spending last season as a free agent. Originally drafted by the Patriots in 2013, the 25-year-old has not caught a pass since his rookie season but will look to make a return as he battles for a spot on the bottom of the Colts' depth chart. He'll compete with the likes of Brian Tyms and Quan Bray for the fourth spot in the receiver depth chart but shouldn't have too much fantasy value this season.

With Julian Edelman, Brandon LaFell and Danny Amendola entrenched atop the Patriots' wideout depth chart, Boyce ended up be cut by the team in August.

Boyce was waived by the Patriots in August, but was then added to the team's practice squad.

With the departures of Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd, the Patriots needed to re-stock at receiver, and that they did, adding Danny Amendola, Michael Jenkins and Lavelle Hawkins via free agency and drafting both Aaron Dobson (Round 2) and Boyce (Round 4). That might seem like a crowded field, but Amendola (if healthy) is the only sure bet to see triple-digit targets, and the door is open for Boyce – or anyone else – to have a significant role. At 5-11, 203, Boyce is compact, and he can also fly – he ran a 4.38 40 at the NFL Combine with a broken toe. That makes him the fastest receiver on the team, and though he's unlikely to see red-zone targets, he could potentially emerge as a deep threat for QB Tom Brady.
