The Falcons have signed Roby, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Roby, who last caught an NFL pass in 2012, adds depth to the Falcons' wideout corps in advance of training camp, but his chances of sticking with the team rest largely in his ability to contribute as a special-teamer.

Depth wideout, who has a chance to stick thanks to his ability as a special-teamer.
Roby will compete for a roster spot at wide receiver with the Saints, but even if he makes the team, he will be a long shot to hold significant fantasy value as he plies his trade mostly on special teams.
Roby is expected to compete for a roster spot, but his fantasy relevance has all but disappeared given Darren Sproles' assumption of kick return duties. If he makes the team, it will likely be as a gunner on special teams.
Roby will compete to handle the primary kickoff return duties but may face an uphill battle with the Saints' acquisition of Darren Sproles, as well as Roby's shortcomings as a receiver.
Roby will likely return as the opening day kickoff returner for the Saints. His value is almost exclusively tied to his performance as a returner as he sees very little playing time as a wide receiver. While he is not an elite returner, he may provide some value in leagues that heavily reward return yards, assuming he is able to retain his role.
Roby is the favorite to emerge as the Saints primary return specialist for New Orleans. However, there will be times in which he will cede his duties as a punt returner to the electric Reggie Bush if he wins the job. Additionally, Roby will see limited snaps at that position, due to the Saints' depth at receiver.
Roby will fight with a group of other receivers to become the Colts' No. 5 and 6 wide receivers. Even if he makes the roster, it's tough to see him grabbing more than a few receptions in 2008 barring several injuries to Indianapolis wideout core.
Roby is expected to see playing time at wide receiver and is expected to return kickoffs for the Titans. Roby played in 12 games last season and caught just two passes for 28 yards. He was inactive for the first four games of the season.
Roby finds himself among a receiving corps crowded with mediocrity behind starters Drew Bennett and David Givens. At times last year he flashed speed, and will get a chance to claim the number three receiver spot during training camp and preseason, but with an offense looking to emphasize the run and passes to tight ends and running backs, the upside to Roby is limited.
Roby is competing with fellow rookies Brandon Jones and Roydell Williams for third on the Titans' wide receiver depth chart behind Drew Bennett and Tyrone Calico. Early on, Jones emerged as the strongest rookie, but Roby has made enough plays to keep himself in the mix. This will be a battle to watch, as whoever starts has a chance of playing significant time for a team that is expected to do a fair amount of passing.
