Evans is expected to be a backup at defensive tackle.

Evans had 35 tackles, including 23 solo and five for loss, and took four penalties last season. He's expected to be a backup again, this time to Letroy Guion at nose tackle.

Evans could get more playing time as a run stuffer with Pat Williams unlikely to return.
