Detroit's search for a No. 1 cornerback in the post-Darius Slay era has not been pretty, but Sutton - who matched Slay with the eight-most PBUs (15) league-wide last year - offers plenty of hope. That he was given a three-year, $33 million deal suggests he is expected to be an every-down player like he was in Pittsburgh over the last two years, and his strong record of health (two missed games over the past five seasons) bodes well for his ability to stay off the sidelines going forward. Sutton appeared in court Monday after turning himself in to the Hillsborough (Fla.) County Sheriff's Office late Sunday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
