Logan is looking up at a lot of name's on the running back depth chart, but the Lions like his versatility and aren't exactly solid at the position with injuries and suspensions thinning the stable. He could be used as a change-of-pace back with solid hands out of the backfield.
Whether he lines up as a wide receiver or a running back, Logan's main contributions are on special teams, where he will be the primary kick returner for the Lions.
Logan, a longshot to earn a job on the Steelers coming into 2009, did a decent job on returns. He may not have returned any kicks for touchdowns, but his 1,466 yards on kickoff returns was third best in the league. Unfortunately for him, he will have plenty of competition for the role in 2010 due to Pittsburgh's additions via free agency and the draft.
Logan will compete for role as returner on special teams, but the Steelers also addressed the need via the draft (Joe Burnett, Mike Wallace), so he may be the odd-man out.
