March 14, 2024
The Panthers signed Wonnum (quadriceps) to a two-year deal Thursday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Wonnum was forced to miss the end of the Vikings' 2023 campaign due to a quadriceps injury, but it now seems as if he's moved past the issue. The 26-year-old edge rusher is coming off the most productive season of his career, appearing in 15 games and recording 62 total tackles, including 8.0 sacks, while also defending six passes. With the departure of Brian Burns this offseason, Wonnum has a chance to serve as the Panthers' top pass rusher in 2024.

Could stay in NFC North
LBMinnesota Vikings
March 12, 2024
Wonnum has visits scheduled with the Bears and Panthers this week, Chris Emma of 670TheScore.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Wonnum had his 2023 season cut short by a quad injury, but he still enjoyed his best campaign as a pro with eight sacks and 62 total tackles over 15 games. He's also capable of contributing on special teams. After playing primarily in a rotational role during his time in Minnesota, Wonnum should be able to step into more significant playing time wherever he lands.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
Wonnum moved into a starting role after Danielle Hunter's season-ending pectoral injury Week 8 last year and responded with 33 tackles and seven sacks over his final 10 games. He'll move to a reserve role behind Hunter and newcomer Za'Darius Smith as an edge rusher in the Vikings' new 3-4 defense, but Wonnum could find his role grow since both Hunter and Smith were not able to stay healthy in 2021.
The 2020 fourth-round draft pick will compete for a starting defensive end role this summer after a promising rookie season that saw him post three sacks and get increasing playing time later in the year.
