2026 Fantasy Outlook
Klein, a German native, became a surprise second-round pick this spring, landing in Houston at No. 59 overall. He can be excused for struggling to earn snaps in loaded TE rooms at Michigan, but it was nonetheless unexpected to see a second-round pick with one career touchdown and 364 yards. He'll turn 24 in September, so this is probably a case of bringing in someone for immediate help with depth and special teams, not a case of trying to develop a prospect with meaningful upside for fantasy. Klein did run a 4.61 40, but he'll likely now be asked to add weight to his 6-foot-6, 248-pound frame. Read Past Outlooks
Klein (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
The rookie second-rounder will be a healthy scratch for the first time this season, and his next chance to play is Week 5 against the Titans on Sunday, Oct. 11. Cade Stover and Brevin Jordan will serve as the Texans' depth options at tight end behind Dalton Schultz and Foster Moreau.

Goes in Round 4 of Reuter's mock
Friday's four-round mock draft from Chad Reuter of NFL.com has Klein going 124th overall to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Klein had 24 catches for 248 yards and one touchdown for Michigan in 2025, but he didn't exceed 108 receiving yards or score a touchdown in any of his other three years with the Wolverines. The 6-foot-6, 248-pound tight end is likely to contribute more as a blocker than a pass catcher in the NFL.
