Bain was diagnosed Wednesday with an AC joint sprain of his right shoulder, but the injury isn't believed to be serious, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Though it's unclear when Bain sustained the injury, head coach Todd Bowles said that the rookie first-round pick will be good to go for the start of the regular season, per Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site. The 21-year-old pass rusher is projected to start at weakside linebacker Week 1.

Bain, who finished his three-year college career with 33.5 tackles for loss, including 20.5 sacks, will be counted on to significantly improve a Buccaneers pass rush that finished with 37.0 sacks in 17 regular-season games in 2025.
