Alexandre Bolduc (C) Vancouver - (Ankle) Set to miss six to eight weeks after suffering a high ankle sprain in the middle of the week.
Alexandre Burrows (RW) Vancouver - (Shoulder) Should return to practice this week, and could come off of the long-term injured list on November 2nd.
Sami Salo (D) Vancouver - (Achilles) No real timetable for the veteran defender's return, although he hopes to be back in January.

Transactions

Luca Sbisa (D) Anaheim - Assigned to Syracuse (AHL).
Brett Carson (D) Carolina - Recalled from Charlotte (AHL).
Jared Boll (RW) Columbus - Placed on injured reserve.
Nate Guenin (D) Columbus - Recalled from Springfield (AHL).
Tomas Kana (RW) Columbus - Activated off of injured reserve and assigned to Springfield (AHL).
Ray Kauniston (LW) Los Angeles - Activated off of injured reserved and assigned to Manchester (AHL).
Joe Thornton (C) San Jose - Signed three-year contract extension through 2013-14 season.
Brian Fahey (D) Washington - Recalled from Hershey (AHL).

Hot

Tomas Vokoun (G) Florida - Posted his second shutout of the week on Saturday night. As is the case with most players on the Panthers roster, Vokoun could be flying under the radar in your league.
Alex Goligoski (D) Pittsburgh - Goligoski had a monster week, posting three goals and three assists in six games for the Penguins. He's getting time on one of the most dynamic power play units in the NHL so there is no reason to think this won't keep up.
Derek Roy (C) Buffalo - Roy had five goals in the extended first week of the season. The much-maligned Sabre has quieted his critics just a bit in Buffalo for now, and he may have almost single-handedly won the week for a lot of his owners in head-to-head leagues.

Cold

Tyler Myers (D) Buffalo - Last year's Rookie of the Year has the worst plus-minus in the NHL, and only has one assist in six games. It's hard to get down on a 20-year-old with all of the physical gifts that Myers has, but his first week was a huge disappointment.
Ryan Kesler (C/W) Vancouver - The only reason that Kesler has any fantasy points this week is because of his 14 PIMs. He has zero points in four games for the Canucks, despite sharing power-play ice with the Sedins.
Wojtek Wolski (LW) Phoenix - Wolski was projected in the 65 to 70 point range this season, and playing on the top line for the 'Yotes could equate to even more than his projections. It's hard to get too down on Wolski, because Phoenix has only played three games, but the offense has been stale in those contests.

Recommended Pickup

Blake Comeau (RW) New York Islanders - Comeau got picked up in a lot of leagues this week after bursting out of the gate with three goals and three assists for the Isles. The offense has to come from somewhere on Long Island, and Comeau will see plenty of ice for New York's other team.
